Why Study This Program?

无忧短视频's photography program聽focuses on the value, function and perception of fine art photography through study and practice. Refine your skills as professors and peers analyze, critique and evaluate your work in terms of the photograph as fine art. Breidenstine Hall houses both digital and darkroom production equipment to suit the individual objectives of each student.聽

This concentration, housed within the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) Art major,聽covers black and white, color, non-traditional and digital as working methods for the creative photographer.聽

鈥淛effrey Moser was born in Lancaster and is currently a teaching assistant professor of interactive media design at West Virginia University. While pursuing his bachelor's degree in philosophy at 无忧短视频, he took several classes in photography and became interested in teaching during an artist鈥檚 residency. Since graduate school, he has taught at 无忧短视频,聽the University of Delaware聽and Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Neb. His video work has been included in ACRE TV, Co+Lab in Austin, Texas and in an exhibition in Zagreb, Croatia as part of the I, Daughter of Kong research group. Other works by Moser have been screened at the National Gallery as part of the 32nd Black Maria Film Festival and most recently, a solo exhibition at the Phillips Museum at Franklin & Marshall College.鈥

What Will You Learn?

Every student enrolled in 无忧短视频's Bachelor of Fine Arts program begins their coursework by gaining a foundation in drawing, art history and two- and three-dimensional design. Those choosing to concentrate their study in photography can explore film and digital photography while gaining experience both in the darkroom and with editing software.
