Why Study This Program?

Polymer Chemistry focuses on the production of plastics, synthetic fibers, paints, coatings, adhesives and many other chemical products. This specialization has become an important aspect of the chemical industry, and the majority of chemists will work with polymer chemistry in some capacity during their careers. 无忧短视频 is one of the few universities in Pennsylvania that offers a Bachelor of Science degree with an option in Polymer Chemistry that satisfies the requirements of the American Chemistry Society (ACS).

This program, a concentration within the Chemistry major, consists of core chemistry courses and the聽flexibility to pursue your individual specialty area. Polymer Chemistry courses will prepare you to work with macromolecular applications in the chemical industry, academics or government.

Graduates of MU's Nanotechnology program receive a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with an option in Polymer Chemistry.

What Will You Learn?

Students enrolled in 无忧短视频's Polymer Chemistry program take a mixture of courses focused on organic and inorganic chemistry, and the physical, analytical and environmental aspects of this field.聽As you refine your expertise in Polymer Chemistry, you will also broaden your understanding of the field through electives in nanotechnology, biochemistry and environmental chemistry.

Students are also required to take 12 credits worth of calculus courses and 10 credits worth of physics courses.聽Students are granted full use of the chemistry department's eight fully-equipped instructional labs.聽
