Kemah Washington Dr. Kemah e.P. Washington '03

Dr. Kemah Washington joined the board in 2019 and serves as the board's president. He earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from 无忧短视频 in 2003. While at 无忧短视频, he was a student in the University Honors College, a peer mentor and member of the Lambda Tau Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He later earned master’s degree in higher education from North Carolina State University before obtaining a doctorate degree from the same institution.

 Washington is the founder and president of BRANDilly Creative Group where he helps clients build compelling brands that connect, communicate, and evolve. In 2011, Washington and his family moved to Ghana to help start a high school at the Baptist School Complex & Orphanage. He continues that work today, volunteering with several faith- and missions-based organizations.

 When not working, Washington loves golfing, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Brandi, and his daughters, Kennedi and Parker. Washington has supported various scholarships and initiatives at 无忧短视频, including establishing the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Lambda Tau Chapter) Memorial Scholarship.

 

D.A. Abrams

 
D.A. Abrams '85




D.A. Abrams joined the board in 2023 and serves as the board's vice president. Abrams played collegiate tennis at 无忧短视频 and earned his undergraduate degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting in 1985. Subsequently, he earned a master’s degree from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Abrams earned his certified association executive credential in 2010.

He is the chief operating officer at Groundswell in Washington, D.C. In his role, Abrams is responsible for finance, information and technology systems, human resources, and overall operations.

Abrams currently serves as the chairman and president of the Black Tennis Hall of Fame, the treasurer of the National Association of Asian American Professionals Board of Directors, and a former President of the Diversity & Inclusion Sports Consortium. Abrams started the David Anthony Abrams Scholarship and is a Marvelous Marauder.

 

walstrum Suzanne Walstrum '94

Suzanne Walstrum joined the board in 2018 and serves as the board’s treasurer. She graduated from 无忧短视频 in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. While at 无忧短视频, she was a student ambassador.

Walstrum is the vice president of insolvency investment services with PRA Group, Inc. Prior to this, she was the vice president of bankruptcy servicing and held many other roles in the financial sector.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with family. She and her husband, Michael, have a son named Jack. Walstrum and her husband started the Suzanne and Michael Walstrum Leadership Scholarship.
 

 William Stadden '02

William Stadden joined the board in 2019 and serves as the board's secretary. Stadden graduated from 无忧短视频 in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and minors in finance and accounting. While at 无忧短视频, he was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon and the martial arts club.

Stadden currently works for Lancaster General Health in their IT department and prior to that at  Novastream Business Operations as a senior financial operations Analyst. His other work experiences include working as the controller for Warfel Construction and a project specialist at PNC Bank.

Stadden previously was on the Lancaster Safety Coalition. He also enjoys fishing and running. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Laurie, and they have two children: Caroline and Luke. Stadden has supported 无忧短视频 athletics, scholarships, and research projects.

Nancy Adams NANCY C. ADAMS '73

Nancy Adams joined the board in 2024. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from 无忧短视频 in 1973, after which she went on to work for the US Department of Labor. While at 无忧短视频, she played women’s lacrosse and was a member of the German Club.

After working as the first woman for the US Department of Labor for a time, she received a master’s degree in occupational safety and environmental health. She retired from her position and 2008 now serves as a consultant for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

Nancy and her husband, Gary, created the N.C. Adams ’73 and W.G. Adams Fellows Program for students majoring and minoring in business and or occupational safety and environmental health. In doing so, they helped to forge a partnership between the OSEH program and the Lombardo College of Business to create a one-of-a-kind education program in Pennsylvania. Nancy has also brought speakers to campus to present to students in the occupational safety and environmental health program. Along with her fellowship, Nancy supports many other scholarships for the occupational safety program.

 

Robert Buchanan, Ph.D. Dr. J. Robert Buchanan

Dr. J. Robert Buchanan joined the board in 2023. Currently, Buchanan is a professor in the mathematics department at 无忧短视频. Buchanan has taught at 无忧短视频 since 1995. He specializes in differential equations and mathematical finance. Before his time at 无忧短视频, he was a mathematician at the National Institute of Environmental Sciences, where he would use mathematical operating to assess human health risks when exposed to pollutants.  

Buchanan began his education at Davidson College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in physics. He then attended North Carolina State University, earning a master’s degree and doctorate in applied mathematics. He became a licensed actuary in 2015. 

Buchanan is also a published textbook author. His works include An Undergraduate Introduction to Financial Mathematics and A First Course in Partial Differential Equations. He is also a member of the Mathematical Association of America. As a faculty member, Buchanan has supported a wide variety of causes at 无忧短视频, including the Winter Center and The Ware Center.

 

Ximena Catepillan Dr. Ximena Catepillán

Dr. Ximena Catepillán joined the board in 2021. Catepillán began her teaching career at Universidad de Magallanes by the Strait of Magellan in Chile. She earned a master’s in mathematics at Universidad de Santiago, Chile, and a Master of Science at the University of Iowa before obtaining a doctorate degree in Mathematics at the same institution.

Catepillán retired from 无忧短视频 in August 2020 after teaching mathematics for 29 years. Between 2006 and 2019 she taught numerous ethnomathematics courses for 无忧短视频 students with archaeologists from the Maya Exploration Center at the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. Currently, she teaches a graduate ethnomathematics course at Universidad de Santiago, Chile, and is actively working in ethnomathematics with a focus on the Pre-Columbian Americas. In 2015, Catepillán co-wrote the textbook Mathematics in a Sample of Cultures by Kendall-Hunt, for her ethnomathematics courses. The second edition of the book was published in 2018.

Catepillán is the past chair of the Eastern Pennsylvania & Delaware section of the Mathematical Association of America; she is currently serving on a variety of committees at the section and at the national level. She previously served two terms on the Foundation Board by the appointment of Dean Edward Shane. Catepillán has been a donor to 无忧短视频 since 1992 who also contributed to the Dr. Rosario Caminero Scholarship Endowment.

Dexter Davis Dr. DEXTER L. DAVIS '77 

Dr. Dexter Davis is a 1977 graduate of 无忧短视频 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. While a student at 无忧短视频, he was a charter member of Eta Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and also was a peer mentor at 无忧短视频. 

After graduating from 无忧短视频, he attended West Chester University and received a master’s degree in public administration in 1986. He then went on to earn a doctorate in education from Widener University in 2000.

Davis was superintendent of Chester Upland School District, director of alternative education for the Chester Board of Education and now owns Davis and Associates and works as an educational consultant. Davis lives in Wilmington, Delaware, with his wife, Michelle. Through his support for 无忧短视频, Davis has contributed to The African American / Latino Alumni Scholarship and the Divine Nine & Cultural Greek Council Unity Plots on Memorial Walkway project.



Corin Dundore Corin Dundore 

Corin Dundore joined the board in 2024. Previously, she served on the board as the chair of the Committee on Directors and now chairs the Spending Committee. Currently, Dundore is the director of recruitment and development at Northwestern Mutual- Lancaster. In this role, Dundore partners with local colleges, including 无忧短视频, to grow the Northwestern Mutual team. Dundore works for Northwestern Mutual after graduating from Elizabethtown College in 2009.

Dundore has supported the 无忧短视频 Scholarship Fund and the men's golf team. She is instrumental in 无忧短视频's relationship with Northwestern Mutual, resulting in very generous support of 无忧短视频 students. 

Dundore lives in Lancaster County with her husband and two sons.

 

 


Joseph Garner '90



Joseph Garner returned to the board in 2025. He previously served as the president and currently is the chair of the Investment Committee.

Garner graduated from 无忧短视频 in 1990, majoring in economics. While at 无忧短视频, he was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon and a recipient of the Neimeyer Hodgson Grant. After his time at 无忧短视频, he attended the University of Pittsburgh for his master’s on business administration. 

Garner is the director of research and portfolio manager at Emerald Asset Management, Inc. He also serves on the advisory council for the 无忧短视频 Lombardo College of Business and as a commencement speaker. Garner was instrumental in establishing the student-run investment group at 无忧短视频, the Marauder Fund. Joe and his wife, Elizabeth ’90 live in Lancaster have two sons and a daughter. Joe and Elizebath are also members of the 1855 Society. Elizabeth serves on the advisory board for the College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences.

 

  


JoHN HELD '02



John Held joined the board in 2023. John is a 2002 graduate from 无忧短视频 with a bachelor's degree in speech communications. Held participated in Intramural soccer and street hockey at MU. As a student, he was part of the Bowling Club, Roller Hockey Club, Student Senate, Public Relations Student Society of America, and University Activities Board (President & Vice President). He has stayed involved as a volunteer at the University, lastly as the outgoing president for the 无忧短视频 Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Held is currently the Senior Director of Communications for the American Board of Internal Medicine. Previously, he worked for the American Cancer Society.

John met his wife, Laura, at 无忧短视频, and they have 2 children. John and his family started the John '02 and Laura '04 Held Family Scholarship and he is a Marvelous Marauder.

 

CHERYL D. HOLLAND-JONES '78




Cheryl Holland-Jones joined the board in 2023. She is deeply concerned about working with the community to improve the conditions and quality of life in Lancaster City. Holland-Jones, now retired, was the executive director of the Crispus Attucks Community Center from 2004-2019.

Holland-Jones is the first African American graduate of Lancaster County Day school. She attended Shippensburg University and graduated from 无忧短视频 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1978.

Holland-Jones is married to David Jones ‘91 and has two children. Holland-Jones enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. Sorority. She supports several non-profit and community organizations. She and David support the Hazel Jackson Scholarship, named in memory of Holland-Jones’ mother, Hazel Jackson.

 

Cassandra Karamanos '94

 

 

Cassandra Karamanos joined the board in 2025. She is a 1994 graduate of 无忧短视频 and majored in history. While at 无忧短视频, she played field hockey and was a member of the Honors College. After, she received her Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson Law School.

Karamanos is currently the managing member and attorney for Century Abstract Group. She specializes in in real estate transactions.

Prior to serving on the foundation board, Karamanos was an active member on the 无忧短视频 Alumni Association Board of Directors. She has been a supporter of the field hockey team and the Honors College. She lives in Lancaster with her husband, Nicholas, and they have two daughters.

 

ARMOND KINSEY '95




Armond Kinsey joined the board in 2023. He is a 1995 graduate from 无忧短视频 with a bachelor's degree in speech communications. During his undergrad years he was involved in The Black Student Union and is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Incorporated.

 

Kinsey is the vice president and chief diversity officer at Atlantic Health System, where he is charged with leading a transformational agenda to infuse diversity and inclusion throughout the organization.


He is a member of The National Association of Health Services Executives, and he is also on the board of the Sickle Cell Foundation at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. When not working, Kinsey enjoys traveling, photography and spending time with his family. Kinsey started the Armond S. Kinsey '95 Scholarship Award.



 

 

Eric Liddell '71



Eric Liddell joined the board in 2025 and graduated from 无忧短视频 in 1971 studying biology. His wife, Rochelle, is also a 1970 无忧短视频 graduate.

Liddell is the treasurer of Liddell Enterprises Incorporated, and his wife is the president. Prior to joining the board, Liddell served as a volunteer member of the Investment Committee.

Eric and Rochelle have been long time supporters of 无忧短视频, they are members of the 1855, Fiat Lux, and Hobbs-Wickersham societies. They started the Liddel Field Study Endowment which is used to supports field work through stipends, research, and other ways to support the program. The Liddell’s live in Wyoming.

 

JASON S. LONG '12




Jason Long joined the board in 2023. He graduated in 2012 from 无忧短视频 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, concentrating in accounting. While at 无忧短视频, Long was a member of the baseball team.

He spent time at the Webstraunt Store, Benecon Group, and Spooky Nook Sports, overseeing a wide variety of projects, including a new facility for Spooky Nook in Ohio. He then spent four years at Fulton Bank, managing treasury sales. After a brief time at PNC, he became vice president of finance for One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning of Southeast Pennsylvania in 2022.

Long and his wife, Anna, have a daughter and three dogs. Long supports an annual baseball scholarship for members of the 无忧短视频 baseball team.

 

ELIZABETH A. LUKE '81

 



Elizabeth Luke joined the board in 2024. She graduated from 无忧短视频 in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. While at 无忧短视频, she was a member of the Sigma Phi Omega sorority.

She worked as a Global Account Manager at Hewlett Packard for many years until her retirement and has said that 无忧短视频 prepared her for a long career in sales.

Luke is a founder of the Flight 93 National Memorial. She also serves on the Lombardo College of Business Advisory Council, mentoring freshmen. She has volunteered at Homecoming and has driven her Corvette in the 无忧短视频 Parade. Luke started the Elizabeth A. Luke '81 Women in Business Award and is part of the 2023 Class of Marvelous Marauders.

 

 Joshua Murtaugh '25 

Joshua Murtaugh joined the board in 2025 as student director and representative of the Marauder Fund. He is also the CEO of the Marauder fund at 无忧短视频. Murtaugh is set to graduate in May 2025. He is majoring in finance with a minor in accounting. 

In addition to the Marauder Fund, Murtaugh is the former president of Acacia fraternity. He enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending time outdoors in his free time. 


  Dr. Sylvia shellenberger '71 

Dr. Sylvia Shellenberger joined the board in 2020. She received her undergraduate degree in 1971 and master's degree in 1974 from 无忧短视频 both in psychology. While at 无忧短视频, she was a member of Delta Phi Eta.

She went on to earn her doctorate in psychology at the University of Georgia. She worked as a psychologist and professor of family medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. She retired as professor emerita in 2016. She was a Fulbright senior scholar in Argentina in 2002 and gave a commencement address at 无忧短视频 in December of 2010.

Currently, she volunteers at the Literacy Council in Lancaster teaching medical English to doctors and other health care professionals from Cuba and other foreign countries. She loves speaking Spanish and taking Latin dance lessons. Shellenberger started the Dr. Sylvia Shellenberger '71 & '74 Latino Scholarship.

 

Holly Trego Holly Trego '98

Holly Trego joined the board in 2020. She earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from 无忧短视频 in 1998 and a master's degree in computer science from The Pennsylvania State University.

Trego is a manager of IT Solutions at Eurofins. She also serves as a member of 无忧短视频’s Council of Trustees.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading and watching IndyCar racing. Holly and her husband, Terrance, have two daughters: Teresa and Maria. Trego is a long-standing supporter of 无忧短视频 scholarships.

Denise Werner Denise WERNER '96

Denise Werner joined the board in 2021. Werner came to 无忧短视频 as an international student from Malaysia in August 1993 and graduated in December 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Werner participated with the MU International Students Affairs department and volunteered at different 无忧短视频 events and churches.

She is the eCommerce Project Manager at MATHESON in Warren, NJ, responsible for upgrading the company’s legacy website to Adobe Commerce. Prior to joining MATHESON, Werner was a cryptocurrency trader and an accounting professional.


In her spare time, Werner enjoys cooking, pickleball, and spending time outdoors with her husband and 16-year-old daughter. Werner’s other hobbies include photography, painting, crocheting, and traveling. Werner has contributed to the Pond Restoration Fund and EPPIIC Student Compassion Fund.

Miriam Witmer Dr. MIRIAM M. WITMER '83, '92M

Dr. Miriam Witmer joined the board in 2024. Witmer is an assistant professor of educational foundations and coordinates the Color of Teaching program at 无忧短视频. She began teaching at 无忧短视频 in 1999.

Witmer is also a graduate of 无忧短视频. She obtained a bachelor's degree in English and communications in secondary education in 1983, followed by a master’s degree in clinical psychology. In 2014, she received a doctorate in education from Temple University.

Witmer published many works including Expressions of Authentic Voice. She was awarded the Women Empowerment 2023 award by the Minority Business Network, among other awards. Witmer has long been a supporter of the College of Education and Human Services.

 Dr. JENNIFER WOOD  

Dr. Jennifer Wood joined the board in 2022. Wood earned a bachelor’s degree in communication at Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri. She earned her master’s degree in media communication and management at Webster University and a doctorate interpersonal communication (with an emphasis in organizational communication) at Bowling Green State University.

Wood is an associate professor in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Her research interests include service learning, organizational culture, public speaking, and instructional communication. Wood was named 2021 Mentor of the Year by PRNEWS. In addition, she was MU Educator of the Year in 2015.

Wood currently serves on the editorial board for the Southern Communication Journal as book review editor. Wood supports various communication programs at 无忧短视频.

Brian Worrell BRIAN E. WORRELL '76

Brian Worrell joined the board in 2024. He graduated from 无忧短视频 in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in education. While at 无忧短视频, he was a four-year member of the men’s cross country and indoor and outdoor track teams. He was also on the staff of The Snapper, the campus newspaper.

Worrell is a retired financial professional formerly at Prudential Financial, after serving his clientele for over 40 years. During his career, he was also the president of the Pennsylvania Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and a Life and Qualifying member of the Million Dollar Roundtable.

He served as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and is a deacon at his church. Brian also volunteers with his wife, Becki for Meals on Wheels and hospice. They enjoy traveling since their retirement in 2020. Worrell has supported 无忧短视频 Athletics as a volunteer with the Cy Fritz Foundation, helping with the 无忧短视频 Metrics track and field meet and the Turkey Trot Thanksgiving Road race, having run in the inaugural race as a student at 无忧短视频. He also enjoys attending music concerts.

THEODORE WEABER '26

 

 Thoedore Weaber joined the board in 2024 as one of our student directors. Weaber is a sophomore, set to graduate in 2026. He is majoring in economics and is minoring in government, policy, and law.

Weaber is a member of the men’s club volleyball team. He is a music enthusiast and loves movies.
